70's Vibing

I wore this look to a casual lunch with friends and family at a little Mexican restaurant that I grew up going to called Carrillos Tortilleria (its delicious!). On the way back we decided to stop at this gorgeous old house called Casa De Lopez to snap some pics. I grew up driving by this house on a daily basis but this was the first that I actually visited it! And it worked out perfectly because its painted my favorite color!
I had so much fun wearing this paisley ASOS dress! I love the flare sleeves, lace up neck detail, and the way the fit compliments my curves. Its a perfect dress to transition from Summer to Fall, with its fall color scheme and long sleeves.

Girls of Summer

Over the summer I volunteered with a program called Circle of Friends Summer. A group of volunteers were paired up with young adults dealing with disabilities to help them on the road to inclusion. It was one of the most rewarding and fun experiences I've ever had. While volunteering with this program I met a lot of new friends. One of which agreed to be featured on my blog with me! Her name is Charlene!

Charlene and I had a fun filled  Summer day in Santa Monica, shopping, doing our make up and having our little photo shoot at the pier! After we part ways I received a text from Charlene that said the following "Heh heh thanks for everything today girl. I feel super empowered, beautiful and just had this huge wage or confidence hit me! Haah you're the best!" I hope I can translate that feeling to other girls and woman through this blog!

Going With The Flow

Being a curvy girl I have never been able to pull off a form fitting shirt and feel comfortable at the same time. So I always steer towards the flowy top, this top being a perfect example. Skinny jeans and a flowy top are def my go to! So my advice for you curvy girls out there is to find clothing that you feel comfortable in. This top is neither tight or revealing, but I felt sexy! Its not what you wear, its how you wear it that makes it sexy.
I accessorized this look with another fabulous set that Rocksbox sent me. Rocksbox its jewelry rental website that creates a short survey to get an idea of your style and then they create a set for you! Its super easy to use too, you pay a monthly flat rate of $20 for unlimited jewelry rental, its great! Perfect for the blogger on a budget, like me!

I got this top at Fashion Q Plus, they do not have a website so I found this similar top:

Stripes

Here is a simple look that I wore to the office. All the pieces were already part of my wardrobe, but I had never combined them before. I've had this Target dress for a long time, but always steered away from it while getting ready for work because it is sleeveless. But then I realized if I paired it with this cute blazer, it would fit the office dress code standards! Woo! I got to feel cute while being work appropriate!
